During the second day on the island, and already acclimatized, you will enjoy a full day excursion that begins with a visit to the temple Ahu Akahanga, where we find Moais upside down, destroyed by a tribal war or by earthquakes, and then continue to one of the most interesting archaeological sites in the area, the Rano Raraku Volcano, on whose slope the Moais were sculpted and then moved all over the island, being a mystery the way to transport them, and where more than 300 statues are found at different points of construction. The tour continues towards Anakena and its incredible beach and the 7 Moais of the Ahu Nau Nau, where 4 of them have hats, and where we will also have lunch.
On a new day you will enjoy two half-day explorations. We begin towards the archaeological center of Vinapu to continue to the volcano Rano Kau, and the ceremonial center of Orongo, which possesses the largest concentration of petroglyphs representing the Tangata Manu or bird man, to Make Make, creator god, and to Komari, symbol of fertility. During the afternoon you will visit the Ahu Akivi, an archaeological centre rich in legends, where the only seven moais facing the sea are located, and you will finish at Puna Pau, a volcano whose crater was extracted the pink stone with which the Pukao or Moai hats were made out of.
