This is the area where the desert begins to mingle with green valleys, and along with reserves and national parks, you can visit the place where our Pisco was born and begin to know the wine culture of our country. A walk through the Historic Center of La Serena cannot be complete without visiting the Recova, traditional market, follow the Avenida del Mar to reach the English district of Coquimbo, with great night movement. Punta de Choros and the Humboldt Penguins National Reserve allow you to meet not only these sympathetic birds, but also whales and bottlenose dolphins, or visit the Fray Jorge National Park where you will find the surprise of a Valdivian forest in the middle of the desert. The visit to industrial and artisanal pisco factories and boutique vineyards are the perfect end for this part of the region.
